The Faculty of Social and Mangement Science is adequately resourceful to Adamawa
State University in terms of its capacity to enhance or facilitate students'
ability to learn.The faculty has various courses to offer from its 2 departments
namely;
1. Department
of Public Administration (B.Sc Public Administration)
2. Department of Business Studies (B.Sc Accounting, Economics, Business Administration).
The Faculty is headed the Dean in Person of Dr. Kamar Bello and it has started with
211 students for the 2002/2003 session, with 30 in Accounting, 25 in Business
Admin. and 28 in Economics. The departments are standard and are expected
to be accredited by Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) very soon.
The University has courageously administered some necessary skills on the students and their
efficient members of staff to utilise the resources and knowledge of the faculty
inoder to create investments and jobs within the University, to generate funds
for the Faculty and the University in general. The graduates shall be trained
and oriented to utilize modern technological and management tools for societal
development.
