The Faculty of Science is an integral part of the Adamawa State University.
At inception, the faculty has various courses to offer from various departments
which include;
1. Department of Chemistry (B.Sc Chemistry)
2. Department of Mathematics & Computer (B.Sc Maths,B.sc Computer Science, B.Sc Maths with Computer Science)
3. Department of Biological Sciences (B.Sc Biology, Zoology, Botany)
4. Department of Physics (B.Sc Physics, Physics with Mathematics)
5. Department of Geography (B.Sc Geography)
6. Department of Science Education ( B.Sc(Ed) Chemistry, Biology, Physics,
Maths, Geography)
Under the leadership
of our distinguished Dean, Prof. M.Y Balla the Faculty started with
44 students for 2002/2003 session with department of Maths having 13 students
and department of Science Education has 19 students. Also Physics and Geography
departments have 6 and 5 students respectively while Chemistry and Biology
have one student each.
The Faculty also houses the Computer Lab which is considerably equipped with modern computers
all networked and connected to the internet. This allows for first hand information
of all kinds and in turn will encourage all students to be conversant with
the day to day affair and world at large.
