Adamawa State University, Mubi was established by Law (ADSU law no. 10 0f 2001) and came into operation on 21st January, 2002.
The objectives of the University include; to provide ready access for the State Indigenes to higher education, to encourage and promote scholarship and conduct research in all fields of learning and human endeavour, and to relate its courses to the social, cultural and economic needs of the people of the state.
The University presently has 3 faculties namely; Agriculture, Science and Social & Management Sciences, and a School for Foundation and Remedial Studies, with an evolving student population
ADSU is located in Mubi, a town situated at the foot of the Mandara mountains, in Adamawa state of Nigeria. The town has a pleasant weather, scenic horizons and a rich traditional culture.
